Invitations for Brookes

I got to plunge into a pretty cool project this week, which I thought I’d share. Brookes, a bride in need, came to me after receiving a very delayed wedding invitation sample in the mail from an online company, and not feeling happy with it at all.  We quickly kicked into gear, and managed to settle on a design, and finish the job in just a couple days. The wedding style is romantic and whimsical in white, purple and green. With this in mind, I designed the invites based on the strings of hanging orchids that will be featured in the ceremony. The RSVP card then hangs on an actual string, attached by a orchid cutout. The invitation-maker in me was definitely upset with the invitation-designer in me, for deciding that a rush project should involve 80 tiny orchid cutouts.  But the designer part of my brain always wins, and in the end I am very happy with the results. And more importantly, so is Brookes.
