Dear blogging nana,
My daughter, almost 3, keeps asking “why?” She responds to allmost every subject with, “Why?” even if there is not “because” to that subject. It’s irritating!
Thank you for thinking about this,
not knowing how to respond in new york.
Dear nkhtriny:
Good question. this is one that I think my daughter has figured out well. She noticed that her young child –now long past that stage–seemed to just want more information on the topic. She wanted her mom or dad to keep talking about the subject.
So, for example, “I’m cooking dinner.” “Why?”
‘I’m cooking rice and vegetables and fish. and then i’ll set the table and we’ll put all the food on the table and we’ll eat!”
“Can I help set!”
what do you think?
